100% of the proceeds from the compilation are going to the Reform LA Jails campaign, a fundraiser for a ballot initiative with two aims:
1. Give the sheriff civilian oversight commission subpoena power to help hold officers accountable for misconduct
2. Give the sheriff civilian oversight commission the authority to conduct a feasibility study on a jail reduction plan and to move funds for two new jails ($3.5 billion) to alternatives to incarceration
Please give what you can and go to ReformLAjails.com to sign the ballot and learn more about the campaign.
An adventure in decolonization and revolutionary praxis from the LA based anarcho-metal band Fortunate Fall
The third full length from LA based anarcho-metal three-piece Fortunate Fall
A thrashtastic adventure from the shores of death metal into the heart of the blackened beast. So in summation a metal album.
Fortunate Fall is a metal act based out of LA. With elements of thrash, death, grind, punk, flamenco, both light and smooth jazz, acapella hymnals, partycore, crab rap and reggae blended throughout, they keep the listener constantly guessing from start to finish. Originally formed in Houston, TX they suffered an early minor setback when a freak cycling accident took the lives of all original members. Reformed and refueled, the act took its anger and enormous genitalia to the west coast. Upon arriving in Los Angeles, the band promptly hit the streets and began selling their bodies for crack money. After overcoming several communal super aids outbreaks, the band set out recording their first full length A Death Related Party. The album was instantly banned due to a 750% worldwide violent homicide rate increase, and after 15 years in court and over 270 million in legal fees the album hit stores in late July.
